• Orange Business dives into restoration of the coral reefs with Tēnaka:
  In order to monitor the effects of coral restoration programs, we are designing, implementing and monitoring a fish diversity counting system using Computer Vision.
• Our customer Sappi, global pulp and paper company, requested our help to significantly reduce energy costs and offer capacity in energy balancing markets on a daily basis. Our team is creating, deploying and optimizing multiple forecasting algorithms.
• “Talk with your RFP” is an internal tool, using Generative AI, developed to build upon and leverage past RFP answers to create better and faster answers to new RFPs.

What You’ll Do:
All the responsibilities we’ll trust you with

As a AI Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of exciting projects that leverage advanced analytics and machine learning. Your work will help our clients optimize their business processes by using, deploying and monitoring latest AI technologies.

• Lead the Way: Design, deploy and monitor advanced analytical models tailored to meet the unique needs of our clients. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify challenges and deliver actionable insights.
• Get Creative: Dive into projects involving recommendation systems, natural language processing, generative AI, optimization, anomaly detection, and predictive analytics. Use cutting-edge machine learning techniques to create impactful solutions.
• Mentor and Collaborate: Share your expertise with junior data scientists and foster a collaborative environment. Work alongside cross-functional teams to integrate data-driven solutions seamlessly into client operations.
• Engage with Clients: Present findings and strategic recommendations, translating complex concepts into clear, actionable insights. Build strong relationships with clients to understand their evolving needs and spot new opportunities.

Who you are:  
What matters most for this role

Your interests & soft skills:

• Interest in digital transformation and data-driven solutions
• Proactive mindset and outside the box thinking to tackle challenges.
• You are able to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
• You excel in interpersonal communication and know how to have a professional and commercial approach with customers.
• You value collaboration as a way to succeed
• Strong communication and presentation skills in French and/or Dutch + English

Your technical expertise:

• 3 to 8 years of data science experience and a proven track record of leading complex projects.
• Programming: Expert in Python, with strong SQL skills.
• MLOPs: Deployment & Monitoring of AI models at scale using docker, ML pipelines…
• Techniques and algorithms: Regression, classification, NLP, clustering/ segmentation, time-series forecasting, anomaly detection or predictive maintenance.
• Cloud Data Platforms: Azure or GCP for Data Science projects is highly valued.
• Business understanding & problem solving: Strong ability to grasp business requirements and develop or refine algorithms to meet those needs effectively.

It is not a requirement, but other preferred qualifications would be:

• A master’s degree or PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Engineering, Physics or any related field
• DevOps methodologies: knowing what CI/CD and terraform is and being able to use it
• Visualization Tools: Power BI or Tableau…
• Good coding practices: best practices in coding and code refactoring.
• Generative AI: tools leveraging Gen AI or developing projects using Gen AI.
