The team, position & mission:
Join our team based in Madrid, dedicated to optimizing data processes and delivering actionable insights. Our team operates in a collaborative and innovative environment, where each member contributes ideas and solutions that drive business success.
In this position, you will play a crucial role in migrating data and processes from SAS to Google BigQuery, thus enhancing the data infrastructure. Your key areas of responsibility as Data Consultant:
Design and implement data pipelines to migrate and transform SAS processes into BigQuery.
Optimize existing data workflows using Airflow for enhanced efficiency.
Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to define data requirements and insights needs.
Conduct performance tuning of SQL queries and maintain data integrity.
Monitor and troubleshoot data processes, ensuring minimal downtime and data accuracy.
As an ideal candidate you have:
3+ years of experience in data projects with with tech stack including Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery.
Solid foundation in SQL and Python for data manipulation and analysis.
Hands-on experience with Airflow or similar orchestration tools.
Information Technology (IT) related degree, a Master’s degree or equivalent.
Demonstrated ability to migrate and optimize data workflows from legacy systems.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
It is not a requirement, but other preferred qualifications would be:
Familiarity with Power BI and experience with DAX and Power Query.
Knowledge of data governance practices and data security principles.
Experience working with additional cloud platforms or tools.
Understanding of data visualization techniques and reporting strategies.
