At Carrefour, Orange Business ensures the seamless operation and evolution of the Data Platform, managing both analytical and operational data flows with a focus on reliability and performance. We handle diverse workloads, including batch and stream processing. By processing everyday terabytes of data that feed dashboards and web APIs, we empower Carrefour to leverage data-driven insights and support their business growth.
Our customer Sappi, a global pulp and paper company, requested our help to significantly reduce energy costs and offer capacity in energy balancing markets on a daily basis. You could join the team creating, deploying and optimizing multiple forecasting algorithms on GCP.
For Paradigm, Orange Business created a data platform and a unified set of tools for all public sector to conduct data projects, with a focus on Kubernetes and DevOps processes to enable self-service and standardization. We were able to handle many projects from all administrations, ranging from API management to data processing & analytics, as well as data science modelling.

What You’ll Do:
All the responsibilities we’ll trust you with
As a Data Engineer Intern, you will be assigned to one of the following technical ambitions. You will contribute to the development of Proofs of Concept, reusable assets, and reference material that support our consulting activities.
GenAI Industrialization:
Design and industrialize GenAI solutions by applying AIOps principles to ensure reliability, monitoring, governance, and lifecycle management at scale.
Define reference architectures, build production-ready Proofs of Concept, and select appropriate tools.
Create internal documentation and training material to support team upskilling.
Code Quality Benchmarking Tool:
Design and benchmark a tool to assess code quality consistently across all client projects. Define common quality standards and metrics to enable comparison and long-term tracking.
Deliver a reusable solution that improves maintainability and engineering excellence.
Databricks Emerging Capabilities:
Monitor Databricks new and emerging features to identify high-value use cases.
Develop Proofs of Concept to validate the most promising capabilities.
Present findings internally to support adoption and technical decision-making.
Snowflake deployment:
Build reusable deployment material to provision Snowflake environments from scratch. Cover core platform setup, security best practices, and Single Sign-On (SSO) integration.
Provide clear documentation to accelerate and standardize Snowflake implementations.
API Development Best Practices:
Define best practices for API development using containers and Azure Functions.
Build reference implementations focusing on security, scalability, and maintainability.
Deliver reusable guidelines and examples to support consistent API development across projects.

Your technical knowledge:
Data Engineering: Advanced proficiency in Python
Dependency Mapping & Analysis: Understanding of system interdependencies, data lineage, and impact analysis methodologies
Database Technologies: Strong SQL skills and experience with both relational and NoSQL databases
DevOps & Version Control: Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code practices
Open Source Development: Experience contributing to or maintaining open source projects, understanding of community-driven development practices
Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus.
