How did you first come in contact with Orange Business?
My journey with Orange Business began when I was seeking a change in my career. It felt like the right time to try something new. I found an intriguing job opening at Orange Business on LinkedIn, which led me to apply. Shortly after, I was contacted by Josefine, who guided me through the recruitment process and was my point of contact throughout the process.

Do you remember what influenced your decision to join Orange Business? Coming from India, I had the opportunity to experience European working culture while on deputation at a client location in Sweden with my previous employer. I was impressed and really enjoyed the work-life balance and the overall approach to work here. I therefore decided to see if it would be possible for me to take on a new opportunity in Sweden and experience it at another company. Orange Business caught my attention, and joining the team has exceeded all my expectations!

Can you tell us a bit about what you work within your role as a Systems Engineer within the Core Platform Services team?
I am part of the Windows team within the Core Platform Services team. We manage the Windows server infrastructure, including OS maintenance, deployments, domain management, and more. Our responsibilities span a wide array of areas, from Active Directory and SCCM to system upgrades.

One of our major ongoing projects is migrating our infrastructure from Hyper-V to VMware. The work is dynamic and varied, some days are focused on specific projects, while others involve troubleshooting issues or providing support to customer teams in areas like SCCM or domain management that lie under our responsibility. The variety of tasks keep the role engaging and ensures that no two days are the same for us.

What do you enjoy the most about your work?
What I enjoy most on the technical side of my job is the constant challenge. Every day brings tasks that push me to learn, solve problems I have not encountered before, and develop new skills. The work is far from repetitive, which keeps it exciting. The opportunity to grow and evolve in my role is something I highly value.

What education and background do you have to be able to do this job?
I have a bachelor's degree in engineering and spent almost 5 years at my previous employer, where I gained a wealth of experience and came to Sweden on deputation. That experience provided me with a solid foundation for the challenges I´ve encountered at Orange Business and prepared me to make the most of the opportunities here to continue growing more.

What do you personally enjoy the most about working at Orange Business, the Digital Services business line?
There are several things I appreciate about working at Orange Business. First, the focus on growth – Orange Business actively supports employees by providing platforms for learning new technologies and covering certification costs. This encouragement has been great for my continued development. Second, the people – my colleagues are not only technically skilled but also very helpful and supportive, creating a collaborative and positive work environment. Finally, the Scandinavian approach to work-life balance has been a great experience. Altogether, my experience has been great!
