We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Functional Analyst / Business Consultant to join our team in supporting a major digital transformation initiative involving Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365). This role is focused on defining client needs, designing global solutions, supporting functional analysis, and ensuring full traceability from business needs to acceptance criteria, particularly within the public sector (Wallonia).

What You’ll Do:
All the responsibilities we’ll trust you with

1. Client Needs Definition

• Analyze and interpret client needs based on:
• Special technical specifications (cahier special des charges)
• Government decrees and ministerial orders (Walloon legislation)
• Meetings with Product Owners and business leads
• Interviews and early-stage project discovery sessions
• Translate regulatory and stakeholder input into structured business requirements.

• Analyze and document end-to-end business process requirements

2. Global Solution Design

• Develop cross-functional solutions in collaboration with public entities, including:
• Hierarchy modeling (Offer > Product > Campaign)
• Status definitions across the business process
• GDPR policy definition
• Facilitate workshops and align multiple stakeholders around shared strategic solutions.

3. Support for D365 Functional Analysis

• Assist in the creation of D365 functional analyses based on business needs and stakeholder input.
• Participate in validation phases to ensure functional deliverables remain aligned with business requirements.
• Serve as the business-functional reference for the D365 implementation.

4. Ensure End-to-End Traceability

• Establish and manage a traceability matrix that links:
• Business Needs ➝ Requirements ➝ Features ➝ Build ➝ Tests ➝ Acceptance Criteria
• Use tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or Confluence for traceability management.
• Monitor and document change impacts across the delivery lifecycle.
• Ensure that all test cases and acceptance criteria are directly aligned with defined business requirements.

Who you are:
That matter most for this role

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a functional analyst or business consultant
• Proven experience in the public sector, preferably in the Walloon region
• Strong ability to interpret legal and regulatory documents
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CE/CRM)
• Deep understanding of requirements lifecycle and traceability
• Proficiency with project and documentation tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence)
• Fluent in French; working knowledge of English is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in multi-entity or cross-organizational projects
• Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) or D365
• Familiarity with GDPR and data governance best practices
