The team, position & mission:

At Orange Business Digital Services Spain, we are looking for a Senior Power BI Consultant with experience in data visualization, technical background, and a very high level of English.

We are looking for a person who is passionate about the world of data, creative, and with a vocation to help both, their team as well as their customers, with at least 3 years of experience developing dashboards with Power BI.

Your key areas of responsibility as a Senior Power BI Consultant:

• Detecting and calculating relevant derived data insights.

• Dashboard design: moving away from big lists of text and numbers to an intuitive and immersive visual design that tells a story with the data to engage the end users. Here, we allow users to get insights from their data at a quick glance by using visual cues rather than sifting through a lot of information.

• Sourcing and shaping the required data into a clearer and more structured format that is ready for analysis.

• Connecting business and IT to work together on enabling the setup and governance of reporting solutions.

• Training & supporting end users in their self-service reporting journey.

As an ideal candidate you have: (this should focus on requirements/experience):

• 3+ years of experience in the design and the development of projects with Power BI.

• Experience in creating dashboards thinking along with the business to determine the best insights to be found in the data.

• The ability to define KPIs according to the information needs of your target audience.

• An interest in and appreciation for good visual design and how to present data in a useful way towards the end users.

• High knowledge of DAX.

• High knowledge of the language M and Power Query.

• Solid basis in SQL and Python.

• Experience with further data visualization tools, preferably Tableau or Qlik.

• Technical background (Computer Engineering, Mathematicians, Software...).

• Fluency in Spanish and a high level of English.

It is not a requirement, but other preferred qualifications would be:

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (Big Query) or other cloud platforms.

• Good knowledge of (querying) relational databases and SQL, SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, etc.
