The Senior Commercial Cloud Architect Consultant joins our Cloud Business Area - the pan-European team responsible for cloud presales and value propositions across the continent. The team brings together cloud experts across hyperscaler, private cloud, and cloud security, working as an integrated practice to support country teams and drive strategic client engagements.
In this role, you guide European enterprises in designing the right cloud environment to support growth in a market shaped by sovereignty demands, hybrid complexity, and rising cost pressure. You lead cloud advisory engagements, design hybrid architectures, and support presales cycles across the Benelux and pan-EU opportunities.

What you’ll do
Cloud Advisory & Architecture
Advise clients on cloud strategy, hybrid architecture, and operating models.
Assess current-state architecture, maturity, and cost across private cloud and on-prem environments.
Define target cloud and hybrid architectures aligned to cost, performance, sovereignty, and compliance needs.
Identify optimization opportunities using FinOps principles and modernization levers.
Advise on sovereignty and locality requirements, including private and sovereign cloud deployments.
Present clear recommendations to C-level and senior stakeholders.
Presales & Commercial Support
Shape architectural direction and solution outlines for pan-EU opportunities.
Contribute to RFP/RFI responses, workshops, and bid defence activities.
Translate business needs into commercially viable cloud architectures.
Position Orange Business cloud services clearly during client engagements.
Offer & Thought Leadership
Contribute to the development and rollout of cloud advisory offers across countries.
Act as a thought leader on hybrid cloud, architecture, and cloud economics in client engagements.
Develop reusable methods and best practices for the European cloud community.

Experience
7+ years in cloud architecture, technology, or advisory roles.
At least 4 years in a consulting or advisory capacity - the consultative approach when engaging with clients is essential for this role. We are looking for a technology expert who has built their instincts working in consulting environments.
Strong background in private cloud and hybrid (on-prem + cloud) environments.
Experience working with Large National Accounts and Multinational Corporations across Europe.
Confident engaging with senior and executive stakeholders.
Skills
Deep knowledge of private cloud infrastructure and hybrid architecture design.
Ability to link business drivers to architecture and governance choices.
Understanding of cloud economics, sovereignty, governance, and operating models.
Structured, concise, and consultative communicator.
Fluency in English, and French or Dutch.
Certified across several cloud or architecture stacks - private cloud, hyperscaler, or enterprise architecture frameworks all count.
Nice to Have
Exposure to hyperscaler platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, or equivalent).
Experience with data platforms or data-driven architectures.
