WIDE events
November has been a month marked by a series of initiatives orchestrated by our internal WIDE group (Women in Tech, Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity) in Oslo.
The WIDE group is dedicated to three fundamental objectives: corporate guidelines, workplace culture, and fostering a sense of belonging. These pillars revolve around essential themes as equality, equity, diversity, inclusion, addressing unconscious biases, advocating for women in tech, embracing neurodiversity, and more.
We celebrated an incredible Christmas dinner with our female colleagues, and on November 29th, WIDE hosted an event at the Oslo office (Økern Portal). The event, which was streamed to the rest of the Digital Services business line of Orange Business and our sister company Orange Cyberdefense, was hosted by Stuart Ruddock, our HR Director. We also had speakers including Wassila Zitoune (COO, Orange Business), Kristof Symons (CEO International, Orange Business), Sara Murby Forste (Deputy CEO Digital Services), Monica Verma (CISO), Eduardo Lutz (Head of Global Communication at Norsk Hydro), and Kaja Narum (CEO Orange Cyberdefense Norway) attended. They provided insights into their journeys, highlighted obstacles, and shared tips for success.
Following this, they were invited to the stage for a panel discussion moderated by Nida Fareed. Together, they delved into vital discussions, shared experiences, and cultivated a community dedicated to championing diversity and inclusion in the tech industry. The passion and commitment demonstrated by these leaders in advancing women in technology inspire us all to strive for a more inclusive future!
