Customer Engagement Consultant
The team, position & mission:
As a consultant in the Customer Engagement practice at Orange Business Digital Services, you'll play a pivotal role in guiding organizations through their digital transformation journey. Our focus is on transitioning businesses from product-centric to customer-centric digital experiences, leveraging cutting-edge methodologies and technologies. Working closely with our clients, you'll explore lead-nurtured customer cycles, utilizing tools such as behavioral analytics, marketing automation, AI & machine learning, and data-driven campaign targeting to optimize their digital strategies.
As part of our team of 15 skilled and motivated consultants based in Brussels, you'll collaborate across various sectors, drawing on the expertise of our technical Customer Engagement team to create synergies and deliver comprehensive solutions. Through interactive meet-ups and a culture of knowledge sharing, we foster a positive team spirit and an environment conducive to individual growth. Our team comprises professionals from diverse backgrounds in business management, marketing, and digitalization, united by a shared passion for leveraging technology to enhance customer experience.

With project roles ranging from Business Analysts to Digital Marketing Strategists, we drive solution value and gather requirements, emphasizing the importance of understanding the business context. As consultants gain experience, they become adept at navigating diverse implementations and running projects with a range of Customer Experience solutions, making versatility a defining characteristic of our Customer Engagement Consulting practice.
Your key areas of responsibility as a Customer Engagement Consultant:
- Delivering impactful Digital Marketing projects at our clients
- Taking lead in capturing business and functional requirements by preparing and performing workshops, meetings and analysis at client side
- Defining and designing complex omni-channel customer journeys together with business stakeholders
- Helping clients with the visioning, designing, planning, execution and adoption of digital marketing programs that deliver tangible results
- Defining and following up on project activities, steering and guiding colleagues towards a joined objective and report status to senior management
- Playing an active role in the growth and development of the team by coaching your colleagues and sharing best practices and experiences
- Learning and applying innovative technologies (e.g. AI) for current and future business challenges
As an ideal candidate you have:
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a digital marketing context
- Passion for digital transformation and are solution oriented
- Data-minded
- Fluency in one of the national languages (Dutch/French) and good understanding of the other. Full proficiency in English.
- Interest or experience in (digital) marketing processes (web analytics, customer profiling, outbound/inbound marketing, website personalization, AI chatbot, SEO, SEA, …
- Hands on knowledge of at least 1 relevant digital marketing tool is a big advantage: Adobe, Google, IBM, Marketo, Salesforce, SAS
- A strong team spirit, balanced by a healthy sense of autonomy
- Excellent analytical skills, conceptual thinking and pragmatic approach
- Solid communication and presentation skills
- an eager-to-learn mindset and flexibility
- Basic understanding of SQL and data base modeling is a plus
- Certifications such as Agile, Scrum, or other Project Management methodologies are a differentiator
- Experience in consulting / implementation projects is a major asset
- Experience in big data implementations is a plus
- Affinity in financial or retail sector is a plus
