The team, position & mission
Join our dedicated Operation Center team as a System Architect, where your expertise will be instrumental in designing and optimizing our advanced support systems. Within the Operation Center, you'll be a crucial member of the Second and Third Level Support teams, collaborating with highly skilled professionals to address complex technical challenges and enhance system performance. Our mission is to deliver exceptional operational support and innovative solutions, ensuring seamless and reliable service for our clients. Your key areas of responsibility as System Architect
- You analyze existing architectures and provide technical consulting at an enterprise level
- You design new architectures for complex web and big data projects in sovereign cloud and colocation services
- You support and further develop customer environments
- You elaborate customer offers (Tenders, RFPs, etc.)
- You successively modernize and update the current systems using automation tools
- You are a technical lead to the rest of the engineering staff
- You are part of extra compensated 24×7 on call duty
As an ideal candidate
- You have strong Linux and Unix experience, especially with highly available and highly performant environments
- You are experienced with virtualization and container technologies such as VMWare, XEN and K8S
- You have high levels of autonomy and bias for action
- You have a good understanding of business processes
- You bring strong organizational skills as well as excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills with you
- You have strong analytical thinking abilities and are a good problem solver
- You have advanced German skills (B2) and are fluent in English (C1)
- Ideally, you already gained a little experience with Public Cloud providers

The process
We screen applications on an ongoing basis, with the aim of conducting conversations and interviews as we receive them. You'll start with an initial discussion with Dana (Talent Acquisition Manager). With mutual interest, you'll move on to a technical online test focused on Linux to demonstrate your technical skills. Is the position still a good fit? Next, you'll have the opportunity to meet some of your potential team members, diving deeper into the specifics of the position. Finally, you'll have a final interview with Helmut (Team Lead).
