The team, position & mission:

Orange Business is looking for a Systems Consultant to join our Virtualization team! The virtualization team is responsible for operating, maintaining and developing our virtualization infrastructure, mainly based on VMware technologies. Both shared and customer owned platforms are a part of this responsibility.

As a Systems Consultant in the Virtualization department, you will participate in the day to day operation of our virtualization infrastructure, and participate in internal and customer driven projects. You will handle the monitoring, maintenance, optimization and troubleshooting of the infrastructure. You will get to work with technologies like ESXi, vSAN, NSX-T, vCloud Director and Tanzu.

The Virtualization team work closely together in a team effort to fulfill our responsibilities. Your key areas of responsibility as a Systems Consultant:

• Incident handling
• Troubleshooting
• Performance tuning/ stability issues
• Patching and upgrading
• Capacity management
• General development and improvement of the platforms
  

As an ideal candidate you have:

• Knowledge in VMware systems on an operational level (vSphere, vSAN)
• Experience with cloud technologies like VMware vCloud Director
• Working knowledge with administration tools like vRealize LogInsight, Operations Manager etc
• Skills to do troubleshooting performance and/or stability issues
• Basic knowledge in at least one of the following OS: Windows; Linux: Redhat, or other distribution
• Willingness and possibility to get security cleared (if not already) to level UAK as per the Norwegian Security Act (sikkerthetsloven)
• Experience with scripting, automation and working with IAC is a plus
