Coaching-as-a-Service, A Catalyst for Personal Growth
Life at Orange Business is a kaleidoscope of variety. From implementation, advisory processes to design work, each day is a fresh challenge. I am also part of the Coaching-as-a-Service program, where I support new hires and junior to mid-level colleagues in honing their skills. This not only propels their growth in their current roles but also assists them in carving out their future career path.
Diversity in Clients and Projects
My role at Orange Business presents a fascinating blend of clients and projects. Currently, I'm developing a future digital workspace roadmap for one of the Netherlands' leading university hospitals, tackling everything from user satisfaction and IT issues to envisioning the workspace of the future. In another vein, I've supported a Belgian water company, evolving from a security architecture task to the actual implementation of Microsoft Defender. Moreover, I’m involved in analyzing best practices for transitioning to Microsoft 365 at an insurance company in Zeeland. The diversity keeps my work perpetually engaging.
Growth Within Orange Business
My journey began over twelve years ago with Login Consultants, starting as a specialist and evolving into an architect, now with a focus on all aspects of the modern workplace, from architecture and advisory to implementation. In 2022, we rebranded as Orange Business, but the core of our activities and company culture remains unchanged.
Ample Development Opportunities and a Pleasant Work Atmosphere
I'm naturally inclined to stay put, but the freedom I experience at Orange Business certainly reinforces my tenure here. There's ample freedom and opportunities to grow both in your current role and into new directions. I've witnessed colleagues progress from technical roles to project management positions, and there are plenty of opportunities for lateral moves too. The work atmosphere is very welcoming. Whether working independently on a project or as part of a team, I can always count on my colleagues' support. Together, we ensure every project is a success.
Enhanced Collaboration and Inspiring Events
Orange Business also places a high priority on team building. Every quarter, we gather to update each other on new technological advancements. Annually, we spend a weekend together engaging in activities from skiing to summer fun, fostering strong bonds and improved collaboration through these enjoyable retreats.
Volunteering in the Fire Brigade
Alongside my duties at Orange Business, I've been serving in the voluntary fire brigade for fifteen years within the Veiligheidsregio Noord- en Oost-Gelderland, at a station with 24 firefighters. I began as a firefighter and have advanced to commander, also serving as a driver and pump operator. Together, we ensure that our fire engine is ready to roll out when needed. Thanks to Orange Business's flexible scheduling, I can balance my work with fire brigade alerts. If I miss an hour during the day, I make up for it in the evening. Occasionally, a whole night may be consumed by duty, and if so, I might be absent the next day, though this has only happened twice in fifteen years. Most incidents are resolved within an hour or two. Yet, on the rare occasion it does occur, it's comforting to know that my employer supports me.
